3 PHOTOS - Submitted by Donald Aldrich - A 4 day trip in the U.P. started out with 40 degree temperatures and rain. They played enough cards to last a year. Finally they got snow... a good foot or more. About 8 of them decided to blaze a new trail on some property his buddy owned. To get to the main trail they had to traverse over a pond approximately 4' deep. His brother-in-law didn't make it across. The picture is hard to distinguish the Arctic Cat swimming in near freezing water and his bro standing with soaked pants on a bank of dry land. The two guys wading through waist deep snow were heading to recover the sled. After much laughter he decided to help. 6 guys and enough tow ropes to circle the globe got the water logged sled out and back on the trail. Once they cleared the pond they managed to get themselves into another obstacle of a severely drifted over hill. It seemed like it was a wall rather than a hill. Good thing for his buddies extended track and RER. He doesn't think his Viper would have made it without rolling a few times. Take a look!
